CATA Policy Statement of the Civil Rights Act of 1964

The Central Arkansas Transit Authority (CATA) is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of its transit services on the basis of race, color or national origin, as protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination under Title VI, you may file a written complaint with the Human Resources Manager, Central Arkansas Transit Authority, 901 Maple St., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114; call the Human Resources Department at 501/375-6717; or by e-mail to info@cat.org.

How to File a Title VI Complaint

You may file a signed, written complaint 180 days to the date of alleged discrimination. The complaint should include the following information:
  • Your name, address and how to contact you (telephone number, e-mail address, etc.)
  • How, why, when and where you believe you were discriminated against. Include the location, names and contact information of any witnesses. If the alleged incident occurred on the bus, give date, time of day and bus number.
  • You must sign your letter of complaint.
