LEGAL NOTICE DIESEL
The Central Arkansas Transit Authority is providing notice that it will be accepting diesel quotes from interested vendors to fuel CATAs diesel bus fleet.
Due to the continued volatility of fuel prices, CATA will not issue a formal RFB but will instead work with all interested diesel providers until CATA determines that a best price has been identified. Once CATA has determined that a best price has been reached, all other vendors will have an opportunity to quote a lower price within a stated period of time. Lower bids must be a minimum of .05 cents less than the determined best price. CATA will accept the lowest price meeting all requirements at the end of that period.
CATA uses approximately 750,000 gallons of red-dyed, ultra-low sulfur diesel annually. We anticipate entering into a six or twelve month fixed price contract with the successful bidder.
Price quoted should be per gallon and include the per gallon price of diesel, freight and applicable taxes (federal spill fee, federal LUST and state environmental fees. CATA does NOT pay state or federal taxes on diesel.
If you are interested in bidding on diesel, please contact us by email and use the subject line DIESEL BID to be certain you are identified. Your request to be included in the bid will be confirmed by return email.
