River Rail Streetcar ProjectPhase One: Modifications to Main Street Bridge
The streetcar route will use the Main Street Bridge to connect the two
cities. The bridge must be modified before track is installed. Bids for
bridge modification will be opened in October 2001.
Construction will be focused on the east sidewalk of the bridge. The bridge will remain open to automobile traffic during the construction. Invitations to Bid will be advertised in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, the North Little Rock Times, the Arkansas State Press, Passenger Transport, and this Web site.
