River Rail Streetcar ProjectPhase One: Trolley Cars
Three cars are under construction by Gomaco Trolley Company of Ida Grove,
Iowa. They are the first vintage trolleys to be built with on-board
wheelchair lifts. All cars are air-conditioned.
They are based on the double-truck Birnie cars which operated in the area as late as 1947. The first car is scheduled for completion in December 2001. View photos of our trolleys as they are being built on our page at the Gomaco Trolley Web site.
