DETOUR ON THE AFTERNOON JACKSONVILLE-SHERWOOD EXPRESS. STARTS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28

No Change in the Morning Route

Construction will begin Monday, November 28 in the area of Vandenberg & Marshall, requiring a detour for the afternoon Jacksonville-Sherwood Express. Construction is expected to continue through December 9. There will be no change in the routing of morning service. For afternoon service the following detour will be in effect:

From T. P. White Road, left on Vandenberg. Continue under the overpass and turn left on John Harden Drive. Continue John Harden Drive, turn right on Gregory Street, right on MacArthur Drive, left on Marshall. Continue regular route.

Ride River Rail Using Your CAT Bus Pass or Ride Card

Use your CAT pass or card to ride the bus and to ride River Rail at no extra charge. Passes and cards are valid on buses and streetcars during all hours of operation.

Take the bus or take a trolley using your CAT pass or card. Just a little extra benefit for being a bus customer.



CATA Adds Temporary Route: Shackleford Road Shuttle

Effective October 24, 2011 the Shackleford Road Shuttle will serve sections of 36th Street, John Barrow Road, Kanis Road and South Shackleford Road. Among the destinations are Baptist Medical Center, Shackleford Crossings and The Cottages. This temporary route will provide service 5 days a week: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Schedules will be available prior to start-up of service.

The Shackleford Road Shuttle will end when new permanent service is established to serve the John Barrow Road area.



UALR Completes Alternative Fuels Study

At CATA's request, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has produced a report with a recommendation on fuel type for transit buses to be purchased in the future. Fuels in the evaluation included diesel, compressed natural gas, hybrid-electric diesel, and biodiesel. Please click here to view the report in its entirety.
